Freesat UHD 4K Box Stuck On LOGO Boot Screen - Can you Do Anything?

Its such a pain when you get a electrotonic device that seems to be stuck, not doing anything, or seemingly taking too long to start.

One of the problems we get asked about quite a lot is the box is stuck on the FREESAT Logo Screen at start up. Here are our suggestions to get it working again.

2 Ways of Trying to Solve

Soft Restart (Simple)

1. remove the power from the box at the rear connector
2. Wait 5 to 7 seconds
3. Re-apply the power, put the plug back in
4. Wait for the box to start again
5. If it does not work, try again but leave the power off for 10 minutes 

Hard Reset (Wipes Your Recordings)

1. Hold down the stand-by / power button on the top of the device while switched on
2. remove the power from the box at the rear connector
3. Wait 5 to 7 seconds
4. Re-apply the power, put the plug back in
5. Wait for the box to start again
6. The box will reset and restart a few times before fully starting

CAUTION! THIS DOES REMOVE YOUR SETTINGS / RECORDINGS
