How to Record Channels Using Arris Freesat Box
Use a recordable Arris UHD-4X model to save satellite programmes. The UHD-X non-recording box does not gain recording capability by following recorder instructions.
Set up the satellite feeds
Follow the guide for the exact recorder and LNB type. Recording availability depends on the satellite feed arrangement; a suitable wideband setup supports more simultaneous recordings than an older universal arrangement.
Record from the programme guide
Choose a programme in the TV guide, select the recording option and check the scheduled-recordings list. Use the model’s series-recording option where available. Resolve clashes using the options shown by the box.
What can be recorded?
The recorder stores supported satellite broadcasts to its internal drive. Do not assume that programmes streamed inside an app can be recorded. Available recording hours depend on capacity and programme quality.
If recording fails
Check storage, signal and scheduled-recording clashes first. If the box reports a drive fault, avoid formatting it while investigating recordings you want to keep.
