'Freesat' For The Ireland of Ireland -Saorsat

Saorsat is the new free satellite package from RTE the Irish National broadcaster, Saorsat broadcasts from Eutelsat 9 east in Ka Band and can be easily received on the Island of Ireland and in the South West of England and South Wales.

Saorsat can be picked up in Northern England, Scotland or North Wales when you employ a larger satellite dish and a Ka Band LNB.

This is different that UK Freesat, and you would need completely different equipment if you wished to watch these channels in the UK

Channel Choice

The TV channels available on SAORSAT are RTÉ One HD, RTÉ2 HD, RTÉ News Now, RTÉ junior, RTÉ One +1, RTÉ2 + 1 and TG4, together with RTÉ's radio stations and digital teletext called Aertel.

Signal Footprint

To date we have confirmed Saorsat ( Irish TV free from Satellite at 9east ) reception reports within the Map Area.

So if you are within the above circle you can now receive RTE1 HD, RTE 2 HD, TG4, RTE NEWS NOW, RTE JUNIOR AND RTE1 + 1 free from Eutelsat 9east..
