Understanding LNBs - Wideband & Universal for Freesat TV Boxes

Learn about LNBs for use with Freesat Satellite TV systems. 

The Basics

WIDEBAND LNBs are for SKY-Q & Freesat UHD 4K (Arris) Devices Only.

UNIVERSIAL LNBs are for Older Systems, Most Freesat TVs, Sky HD, Humax, Panasonic, Manhattan & Most Generic Satellite Boxes.

Hybrid LNBs have both WB and Uni Outputs so can run (almost) all types of boxes.

LNB stands for Low Noise Block

BUT WHY?

Again keeping it simple, the wideband LNBs allow the newer systems to record / receive more channels at the same time, its a modification of the standard satellite transmission system using some clever electronics inside the set top box.
