I found a Hidden Menu - Freesat Arris UHD 4K Boxes

I have been working on the Arris Freesat Branded Boxes for quite a few years now and always wondered if there was a engineers or hidden menu (much like the Humax and Sky boxes) in the box somewhere but never managed to find it, but like most of these things, by accident, I found something.

What do you need to do to open the Engineers Menu

Its very easy and there maybe other way to opening this option but this is what I found

During start up (from a full power down) you will be see the FREESAT logo on a black background. See our details how to do that HERE

While this is on the screen you need to press the button on top of the box once, quickly and you will see the start up menu pop up on the screen, you can then use the remote to move around the options.

What can you do with a hidden menu

Some Options are greyed out but you can as far as I can tell

• Delete the Wi-Fi access info
• Reset the box
• View all the software and hardware versions
• factory restore the device

So not a mass of useful stuff but maybe we can find other things from here, I will continue to investigate.
