HBO Max now coming to the Manhattan Aero Freely Box

One of the most requested apps for the Manhattan Aero is finally on its way – HBO Max arrives on the Freely box this Thursday, June 11.

For Aero owners, this is arguably the platform’s biggest content upgrade yet.

HBO Max has officially landed on Manhattan’s streaming box, bringing with it a catalogue packed with some of television’s most acclaimed series, including Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, Succession and The White Lotus. Subscribers also gain access to Warner Bros.’ extensive film collection and TNT Sports, all from the same interface that already hosts services such as Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video.

The arrival of HBO Max also resolves a question many Aero users have been asking since launch: when would one of the world's largest streaming services finally join the platform?

The news comes alongside another important update from Manhattan. The company has resumed distribution of its v19 software release after temporarily withdrawing it in May. The original rollout was halted following reports that some Aero boxes were unexpectedly powering up from standby mode.

A revised version of the update is now being delivered to users. I’ll explore the changes included in v19 later in this article, but first, let’s take a closer look at what HBO Max brings to the Aero experience. This version adopts a more magazine-style tech journalism tone rather than the conversational blog style of the original.

You can buy the Aero box directly from Freesat spares.
