Setting Up your FREESAT UHD Box for the First Time

Problems getting Started?
Problems some people experience when setting up there Freesat UHD box for the first time, common issues with the out of the box start up with 4k UHD devices.
If you have just set up your new UHD Arris Freesat Streamer or recorder here are some common issues and solutions that should get you going.
This covers models Arris UHD-X and UHD-4X-500 / 1000 & 2000

Pre-requisites
- You need working satellite Dish & LNB pointing at the Astra 2 network (Position 28.2Deg East) [same as used for SKY TV UK]
- Normally 2 independent feeds from the satellite Dish to allow recording
- Both UNIVERSIAL & WIDEBAND LNBs are compatible with the UHD box

Issues come customers Experience
Box Does not show signal
- Check your cable are inserted correctly - then leave your box in standby for 2 to 3 hours and try and setup again.
Will not connect to WiFi
- The most common issue is a weak signal from your internet router - make sure your box and router are close enough to each other, or try switching to a ethernet cable
Box loads & I can see channels but some guide information is missing
- Common issue is the box is running old firmware, this can be updated in 2 ways, leave the box on over night and it will update automatically or follow our online video to force the update. Basic Steps, tunes to channel 999 for 20 minutes, then power cycle the box, a yellow / orange bar will appear when you restart the box to show update in progress. SEE VIDEO GUIDE HERE
No Image or anything on screen when I connect the device
- Make sure you are using the HDMI cable provided with the box, as the box is UHD standard some older HDMI cables will not work, should be HDMI v1.3 standard or above
