Weak signal

  I am getting a notice that the signal for the TV is weak and the picture keeps disintegrating. I use a long cable from the router to the Freesat Box. The internet on my laptop is working fine. So what could be the problem?  Could it be that I need to switch to fibre broadband to get a stronger signal? Or do you think a new cable would be a better idea?  I wonder if the port where the cable  goes into the Freesat Box is a bit lose.  Though this could be the socket itself on the Freesat Box   making it bit lose?   Thanks

  Hello you haven't given details of the box that you have connected

   

  Assuming it's a Freesat box either a uhd or HD type

   

  a weak signal would not be related to your internet signal if you're watching live TV the internet signal would only affect streaming services such as BBC iPlayer

   

  It's more likely that you have a problem with your cables running to your satellite dish
